Triumph Thruxton 900 CARB

The Thruxton 500 is a legendary race, that was held in Hampshire, UK and owned by Triumph in 1969. Inspired by the stripped down factory, cafe racers that took home first through third that year, Triumph added the Thruxton model to its Modern Classic line in 2004. Featuring an overbored version of the 790cc Hinkley Twin (to 865cc), performance cams, bigger carbs and freer breathing exhaust the Thruxton was easily the fastest of the fleet. Add to that its retro fly-screen, seat cowl and clip-on design cues and the cafe racer had been re-born. Right from the showroom floor, the Thruxton is a force to be reckoned with but those factory performance upgrades are only the beginning. The Thruxton still has some untapped potential for ton-runners out there.
