Customer Profile: 2006 Speed Four

March 19th, 2012 No comments

CJ Szpila from Tinton Falls, NJ sent us this great picture of his 2006 Triumph Speed Four. He’s made quite a few customizations including eliminating his fender and upgrading his exhaust and solo seat. We also love the British Customs bar end mirrors and the factory mirror block offs.

We don’t get a lot of submissions for urban sports bikes, so we’re happy to share this with everyone. For your chance to be featured on our site, submit your bike here.

Customer Profile: 2006 Thruxton – Steve A.

March 2nd, 2012 No comments

Steve A. from Hungerford, TX sent us this picture of his 2006 Triumph Thruxton. Steve really put in a lot of work on this bike.

He started by adding power and improved performance with the best selling Predator exhaust pipes from British Customs. He continued with performance by upgrading to Nology ProFire Ignition Coil and Spark Plug Wires, both designed to bring you the most powerful spark ever. To give it an ultimate upgrade, Steve dropped in a CR-S Carburetor, which improves, amongst many things, throttle response. And to prevent slipping during heavy acceleration, he installed the Heavy Duty Clutch Springs.

Performance wasn’t the only thing on Steve’s mind. Steve made several customizations to make the look of his bike his very own. To prevent discoloration, rust and provide a durable protective matte black finish, Steve used British Customs ceramic header coating service. He was able to easily remove the factory headlight and ears with the 5 3/4″ headlight bracket. Bullet turn signals and a rear cat eye stop light were also installed to give his bike the look Steve wanted. Napoleon Style Screw In Mirrors match the styling of Steve’s Triumph and were a perfect addition to his bike.

Steve has added a bunch of other customizations to his bike including a custom tank and cowl, six pot calipers, waver rotors, and more! What other modifications can you find?

Steve is a big fan of British Customs. Here’s what he had to say about us:

Working with BC is by far and away the best experience for obtaining parts I’ve ever had. The workmanship and quality of parts is outstanding. [BC] takes the time to answer questions on what is the RIGHT part to purchase.Customer satisfaction is their main goal.

Thanks for the kind words, Steve! We love your Triumph!

Customer Bikes: 2005 Thruxton – Todd K. (Revisited)

We wanted to revisit this great Thruxton Customer Profile from last year as well test some new features that are being developed for the blog.

Check out these photos of this custom 2005 Triumph Thruxton from Todd K. in Antigo, WI. We love your new paint job and the aluminum rims! We’re also digging the cut-out clover Ace Cafe logo and the Triumph Speedmaster tank emblem. Todd cleaned up the tail end of his bike with the British Custom Lucas Fender Eliminator Kit and coupled it with Square Brushed Turn Signals. Using our Direct Mount Reservoir Kit, Todd was also able to clean up the handlebar section.

Todd definitely put in a lot of work into the look of his Triumph, but he didn’t forget to customize the performance. With the British Customs Air Box Removal Kit, Todd was able to increase the performance of his Thruxton by opening up the intake system, allowing more air flow into the motor. To steady his bike and decrease front end vibration from his improved performance, Todd installed a Fork Brace.

We already know this isn’t it for this Triumph Motorcycle. So Todd, what’s next? Read the rest of this entry »
