Northern Ohio Triumph’s “Elysium”

Working with Triumph’s Ton-running factory Cafe Racer, the Thruxton, twenty-seven year-old Carl Peshof and the team from Northern Ohio Triumph and Ducati, decided to showcase its inherent old school appeal. Of course, that doesn’t mean they left anything alone. Performance was paramount with their build as they overbored the the Hinkley twin to punch it up to 1000cc’s. High compression pistons, a hotter cam set, bigger intake manifolds and larger injectors were all added to the mix to make Elysium a powerful enough to contend in the Thruxton Cup.

We’re pretty sure you wouldn’t wanna risk swapping paint with anyone in the corners, though. That’s some hand-laid vintage gold leaf and pin-striping work you see there, accenting the lustrous iridescent red paint, and guaranteeing Elysium’s safe passage into the underworld. To further guard from the evils of where she will trek, even the frame was re-sprayed with a metallic graphite scheme.

Ohlins piggyback shocks firmed up the rear, while custom 18” Buchanan excel rims gave this Thruxton its stance. Firestone Coker tires keep the retro vibe strong as does the completely re-upholstered BC Cafe Racer Seat. All in all, Carl and his team created an achingly gorgeous Cafe Racer that’s as much go as it is show.
