Customer Profile: Taiwan Edition: 2009 T100 – Barret H.
From half way around the world in Taipei, Taiwan, Barret H. sent us these photos of his 2009 Triumph Bonneville T100. He cautions that it’s still a work in progress, but it’s already quite a beauty.
In cleaning up the look of his Triumph, Barret installed the British Customs Rectifier Relocation Kit, allowing him to move the rectifier to the upper frame tubes. With the use of BC’s 5 3/4″ Headlight Bracket, he was easily able to remove the factory headlight and headlight ears, giving Barret the option of installing a different headlight.
To hide the bluing that naturally happens to headers, Barret used a simple header/exhaust wrap. While adding an aggressive look to his bike, the wraps are designed to keep the exhaust temperature cooler. To finish the look, he added a custom paint job to his tank which we absolutely love!
Of course, looks wasn’t the only thing important to Barret. He also put in a lot of work on performance and comfort. As a simple start, he relocating his key ignition to the left side of the frame for easier access. For a more comfortable ride, he upgraded his fork springs to better handle bumps on the road and vibrations from the motor. The fork spring came in handy especially after upgrading his exhaust system.
Barret – Thanks for sharing your pictures. We love the progress you’ve made on your bike. Let us know when it’s finished. We can’t wait to see the final product!
