Looking to add horsepower and torque? The British Customs Stage I Street Cam Service is recommended for riders who have installed an air box removal kit and upgraded to a high flow exhaust system. Once these two upgrades have been completed, the next bolt-on/drop-in upgrade is carburetors (carb models only) or camshafts.

British Customs has developed a cam profile that will give riders a 3-5 horsepower increase. No modification to the cylinder head is necessary, just drop in the Stage 1 Street Cam. Increases the performance of your twin while allowing the motor to continue to be streetable. The lobe center values are modified and the lift and duration cycles increased. Adds horsepower and torque.

British Customs Stage 1 Street Cams Service is a mail-in service. (Core exchange required. Customer must send in his or her cams. After our receipt, cams are returned after up to 2-3 weeks of service if existing core is unavailable for exchange. Customer is responsible for all shipping costs.)

Note: Valve overlap is increased but not to the degree in which it affects idling. The kit has been developed as performance upgrade, check with local regulations prior to purchasing and installing this part For off road use, not legal for registration for on road use in California.

Q: Are these cams compatible with an 09 Thruxton? If so do I need other mods, ie:power commander? What hp gains will this give?

A: Yes these cams are compatible but are on a core exchange program. This means we can either charge you a $550 core charge and mail the modified set out to you then credit you back the core charge once you send in your good stock core cams. Or, you can send us your cams first and we can ship ours out the day yours arrive with no core charge. These have great torque of about 3 to 4 low end and all around power curve. We recommend a power commander for tuning when combined with other performance upgrades for peak horsepower and reliability.
