Can I bolt some bar end mirrors on to the hollow M bars and what's the difference between the hollow and non-hollow bars? Apart from the obvious.
You certainly can! The difference between hollow and non-hollow handlebars is that there's an opening at the end of the handlebar for adapters, bar end sliders, and so on.

If you'd like to install bar end mirrors on a 1" hollow handlebar, we recommend using this adapter: http://www.british-customs.com/expanding-bar-end-adapter-1-inch
And then mounting a CRG mirror to it: http://www.british-customs.com/manufacturer/?manufacturer_id=283&manufacturer_name=CRG

I don't understand how both the 7/8" bar and the 1" bar fit the same bike and switch gear?
Great question ! We had a website mixup as we sell these bars in both diameters (7/8 | 1") which should now be fixed !
