Whether you want to run bar end mirrors or you just want to swap out the stock mirrors for something more stylish, removing your mirrors will help immediately clean up your control center. Thankfully, it only takes a couple minutes and one tool. If you're interested in what control center upgrades are available, check out our Featured Controls Projects in our Resource Center to see some of the different ways your can transform your Triumph.

  • Triumph Street Twin

Tools required:

  • 14mm wrench

Total time the job takes:

  • 5 minutes

  • Beginner

Step 1:

Slide the rubber boot up to expose the mirror mount

Step 2:

Use a 14mm wrench counter-clockwise on the bottom nut to remove the mirror stalk.

Note:  The top nut on the mirror mount is the lock nut.  To adjust the mirror, turn the locknut counter-clockwise to loosen it, adjust your mirror, and then turn the locknut clockwise to tighten it and secure the mirror in place.

Step 3:

Turn the mirror counter clockwise with your hand and remove the mirror from the mount .

Step 4:

Repeat steps 1-3 on the other side to complete removing your stock mirrors. For a clean control center, we recommend installing BC Screw-In Mirror Hole Caps in the stock mounting holes as pictured below, or upgrading your stock control clamps to BC Control Clamps to eliminate the mirror mounting holes entirely. If you plan to ride your motorcycle on the street, we suggest installing a bar end mirror for safety.
