Installing a British Customs Rear Turn Signal Relocation Brackets
Related Weekend Project Upgrades
Step 1:It is very important to support the motorcycle. Use a scissor jack or motorcycle stand to take the load off the rear shocks.
- Start by removing the right top shock eyelet bolt with a 12mm socket.Note: Only do one side at a time.
Step 3:Carefully remove shock off the shock pin and install one Turn Signal Relocation Bracket pointing toward the rear of the motorcycle. The bracket should be between the frame and the shock.
- Reinstall shock and tighten 12mm bolt to 28 Nm.
Step 5:Repeat steps 2-4 on the left side.
- With the brackets in place, you can mount almost any turn signal. In this case we are mounting the square brushed aluminum with amber lens turn signals. This mounts with a flat washer and 17mm nut in a simple 2 wire signal.
Step 7:Insert the signal bolt through the turn signal bracket and tighten down the flat washer and 17mm nut. Run the turn signal wires foreword along each side of the frame and into the battery box.
- On this bike, we currently have a fender eliminator kit installed with a British Customs plug and play harness adapter. This provide the same connections and makes installation simple.
Installation Complete!Congratulations! You have completed the installation of your new British Customs Rear Turn Signal Relocation Brackets.
