BC304-011-B + BC304-(004/007)-B | Installation Instructions for Triumph Street Twin Rider Footpegs and Clevises
Upgrading your footpegs to something more suited to your riding style and aesthetic preferences will make a world of difference. With the British Customs Driver Clevises, you can position your foot pegs just where you like them. They don't take long to install either, and can be done with basic tools. If you're upgrading your Street Twin's exhaust, it's actually a great time to upgrade both sets of foot pegs since they'll have to come off anyway during the process. Check out the passenger footpeg instructions here.
- Triumph Street Twin
- Flat head screwdriver
- 6mm wrench
- Hook (optional, but recommended)
Total time the job takes:
- 30 minutes
Use a flat head screwdriver to remove retaining ring from bottom of footpeg pin.
Remove pin, and support footpeg as you remove the foot peg. Be wary that the footpeg is spring loaded, and that the spring will launch out if you are not careful when removing it.
Remove stock footpeg.
Put BC clevis in place, and secure with pin.
Put a dot of blue Loctite on the end of each supplied pin, and insert them into the four (4) mounting holes in the clevis.
Slide footpeg onto pins at desired angle.
Apply blue Loctite to screw and secure footpeg to clevis with 6mm Allen wrench.
Pull pin back out of clevis.
Place spring in footpeg assembly. Note correct spring positioning.
Put footpeg in place.
Insert pin down through spring. Make sure the groove for the retaining ring is on the bottom side of the pin.
Secure pin in place with the stock retaining ring using a flat blade screwdriver.
Repeat steps 1-12 on the left side to install left driver footpeg and clevis.
Note: To remove the pin from the left driver footpeg, you must loosen the two bolts securing the bracket to the frame with a 6mm Allen wrench. Once the bolts have been loosened, you can angle the footpeg bracket to pull out the pin.
