Use your left hand to hold the clutch cable, use a crescent wrench in your right hand; apply enough force in a counterclockwise motion to remove the tension on the clutch cable arm.
Remove the clutch cable from the retainer .
Locate the rubber gaiter and carefully use a razor blade to remove the desired length from the boot.
Note: it is recommended that you remove 3 pleats from the end of the boot with the larger hole.
Slide the boot over the cable.
Use your left hand and hold the gaiter back to expose the end of the cable.
While holding the gaiter and exposed clutch cable in your left hand, take the crescent or 18mm wrench in your right hand, and use it to relieve the pressure of the clutch arm and re-install the end of the cable into the retainer.
Take your new cover and loosen the Allen screws on both sides of the cover with a 3/32 Allen wrench.
Note: It is recommended to remove these screws and apply blue Loctite to them prior to installation.
Place the cover over the arm, make sure it seats all the way on top of the arm. Tighten the Allen screws on both sides of the cover.
Check all hardware and newly installed components to ensure all are properly secure.
